The 4th of July was spent with lots of family and friends. We kicked off the festivities with the parade on Saturday morning and then moved to our house for some poolside fun in the sun. As the sun went down, we all loaded up and headed back downtown for the city fireworks. Sunday was fun-day at the lake, our friends opened up their house and lakeside property for us to enjoy (the island and upper part of the lake are still closed from the flooding in June). We boated, swam and enjoyed a yummy shrimp boil; all before the big boys put on our very own firework display.
